Encryption in Transit and at Rest

All data exchanged between your device and our servers travels over TLS 1.2 or higher. Stored account and payment records, including UPI and Paytm references, are encrypted at rest using AES-256 so they are unreadable if ever intercepted.

Account Security Controls

Your account is protected by password hashing and optional two-factor authentication via SMS or authenticator app. We never store your UPI PIN or PhonePe passcode — payment authentication always happens within the payment provider's own secure environment.

Data Retention Schedule

Identity data is deleted within 30 days of a verified account closure. Transactional records (payment amounts, timestamps, method references) are held for the period mandated by applicable Indian financial regulations and then permanently purged from our systems.

Who Can Access Your Data Internally

Access to personal data inside newsattamatka is limited to staff whose role requires it — support agents handling your ticket, finance staff verifying a withdrawal, and the security team investigating flagged activity. All access is logged and audited quarterly.
